Wat Chiang Man, the former residence of King Mengrai is the oldest   temple in town, situated in the north-eastern section of the old city.

Wat Chedi Luang is the biggest Chedi in Chiang Mai located. This temple was built during the sixth kingdom of the Mengrai Dynasty.

Located on the west side within the city wall is Wat Phra Singha, with an elegant architecture and home to an important Buddha image named Phra Phut Tha Si Hing.

Undoubtedly the highlight of Chiang Mai’s temple offering is Wat Phra That, built in 1383 atop Doi Suthep with a 300-step naga staircases leading up to the Wat.

Chiang Mai Night Bazaar, overflows along Chang Klan road with it’s endless rows of stalls, it is indeed the best place for bargain hunting and souvenirs with a seemingly limitless array of products

There are pedestrian walking streets every Sunday evening, starting from the Tha Pae Gate along the Ratchadamnern Road and several near by streets, the vendors set up the stalls selling traditional Lanna Thai products or offering services ranging from Thai massage to Thai music.
